Speak Up-Act Out Competition
What a blast our students had at the annual drama competition, “Speak Up-Act Out Drama competition”, which was organised by the Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) Section, Curriculum Development Institute (CDI), Education Bureau. The students worked with the thought-provoking stimulus “Discovery” and a target word, “breakthrough”, which they had to incorporate into their drama performance. We are very proud of our team’s performance and they are incredibly excited and grateful to have received a Merit award and the Best Actor Award. There is no doubt that drama provides students with greater exposure to authentic English and opportunities to use the language creatively, contributing to whole-person development. It is incredible to see our students’ progress and achievements but, most importantly, their confidence in using English for creative expression. We look forward to seeing how these talented performers continue to grow and find their voices, both on and off the stage!
